Curriculum vitae

Doctor of Audiology –  University of Florida
Bachelor of Arts –  University of Florida

Dr. Dana Ulmer earned her Doctorate in Audiology (Au.D.) from the University of Florida in 2008. Her clinical specialties include electrophysiologic testing, Auditory Processing Disorder (APD) evaluation and management, diagnostic audiometry for both pediatric and adult populations, pediatric hearing aids, tinnitus evaluation and management, vestibular evaluation and treatment and universal newborn hearing screenings.

Dr. Ulmer became an audiologist because her grandmother began to lose her hearing at a young age, motivating Dr. Ulmer to help others communicate with their families however possible. While a doctoral candidate, Dr. Ulmer volunteered in Mexico, providing over 300 pediatric and adult patients in rural, low socioeconomic areas with ear exams and hearing screenings

Her professional memberships include the American Academy of Audiology, the American Speech Language and Hearing Association, the Florida Academy of Audiology and the Florida Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf. She has been part of the faculty in the Speech and Hearing Center since November 2008.
