Dr. Emily Tuttle McClain is the chief of the Audiology Division within the Department of Speech, Language and Hearing Services and is also an associate clinical professor within the department. She is a pediatric specialist in audiology.
Dr. McClain received her doctorate in audiology from the University of Florida, and has been working in audiology at UF since 1995. Her role on the UF Craniofacial Clinic team includes supervising the audiology procedures in the clinic as well as performing diagnostic evaluations and preparing hearing devices. She has also given a number of presentations to speech-language pathology students and pediatric audiology students on the importance of audiology services within the Craniofacial Clinic.
In addition to her work on the team, Dr. McClain is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Department of Audiology and also teaches graduate-level courses at the university. She is a member of the American Academy of Audiology and the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association.
