About Ashley K Lentz

Hello, my name is Ashley K. Lentz, and I am a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon with expertise in pediatric plastic surgery, cleft lip and palate repair, and general procedures. I earned a double major in Biology and Art History from Emory University, followed by a Master’s in Nutritional Sciences and a Medical Doctorate from the University of Florida. I completed both general surgery and plastic surgery residencies at UF.

I also completed a Pediatric Plastic Surgery Fellowship at Northshore University Health System and the University of Chicago. I’ve had the privilege of contributing to the medical community in various roles, including as president of Interplast South Inc., where I lead medical mission work in Honduras, providing cleft surgery and other services. Additionally, I co-directed the Craniofacial Clinic at UF and served as Associate Professor at Florida State College of Medicine and Assistant Professor at UF.

In my private practice, Lentz Plastic Surgery, I specialize in pediatric procedures and cleft lip/palate surgeries. I’m also dedicated to education, serving as Associate Program Director for the Plastic Surgery Residency at UF, where I help develop surgical education programs and mentor residents.

I’m actively involved in professional organizations, including the Southeastern Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, where I serve on the Board of Trustees, and the Florida Society of Plastic Surgeons. I’ve received several awards, including the University of Florida’s Exemplary Teachers Award, and continue to engage in research, lectures, and presentations.

My career is focused on improving patient care and contributing to humanitarian efforts, particularly through medical missions in Central America. These experiences have shaped my approach to medicine and deepened my passion for patient care and teaching.
